There are many things that catch my attention with regards to ethical issues. One ethical issue that catches my attention is the usage of drones. Drones have recently become something that anybody can buy with little to no restrictions and some people tend to put a camera on them. Even though some people use it for recreational usage, there are those people who use it to invade people’s privacy. Whether the user of the drone is taking pictures or recording, he can easily take pictures of people who never gave them permission to take a picture or video in the first place. This has become a wildly known issue lately and has caused some controversy with regards to regulating such a thing, which leads to my second topic about politics in the US. Politics within the US is something that I see has the power to change the lives of millions, if not billions, of people around the world. American politics has gone a long way since the early days of the nation. As time passed on, we began to see this shift in politicians in Congress as more and more of them stop caring about most the people and start caring about people who can give them the most money. This time of mentally of many Congressman has led to the creation of laws and regulations that only benefit a small percentage of individuals as appose to serving the majority of people in the US. These types of situations have resulted in fewer people trusting the government because they no longer think that the government cares about people in low-income situations. These issues of lack of trust between the people and government has been more prominent in recent times, especially with the fake news scandal that was happening during the presidential election. Fake news has lately been an issue within this country as it has sparked a lot of controversy with regards to the presidential election. Many of these articles were posted in social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter and a majority of the people didn’t know that they were fake news or not, especially since that is a way in which people nowadays get their information. Fake news tended to deal largely with the presidential candidates which not only created turmoil as the election day got closer but cause people to become less weary about the news they read online, whether it be through social media, such as Facebook or Twitter, or an official site like CNN.com.
